Helen Mirren is hitting the red carpet with her new look.
The 80-year-old actress recently attended the 2026 Taormina Film Festival on June 12 and took the moment to debut a different hairstyle, which we all know she's the queen of doing.
During the Golden Globe Dinner in Italy, the Thursday Murder Club star, 80, was seen rocking what's popularly known as a "bixie" — a combination of a bob and pixie cut, which just so happen to be the summer's hottest hairstyles.

Mirren, who also wore a bold red dress for her outing with husband Taylor Hackford that same day, is typically known for rocking a banged bob, but her recent style proves that reinventing the wheel can be done at any age.
In fact, over the years, Mirren's hair has taken center stage for her willingness to lean into the unexpected.
In 2023, Mirren commanded the Cannes Film Festival with an electric blue hairstyle that was the cherry on top to her dreamy fairytale look. The year before, she mastered the art of wearing platinum blonde extensions with a blinding silver dress.

Still, she's also embraced her grays and, in a 2020 interview with PEOPLE, said that it's made space for fun styles.
"I think women were just so terrified of having white or gray hair because it immediately put them into a different category," Mirren said. "And of course, you are in that age group. I'm sorry, but you are! So, why not just embrace it, go along with it and welcome it? Make it a positive thing as opposed to a negative thing."

It's her willingness to take life as it comes that's given her the confidence to go all in. In a 2025 interview with Allure, Mirren said of turning 80, "I find everything about it [fabulous]."
"F--- it, I'm alive and I'm working and I can drink a glass of wine and I can wear makeup and I can listen to music and I can watch a beautiful sunset and I can go to the theater and I can watch a movie and I can binge Netflix and I can live life. It's a beautiful thing."
