Super Bowl 60 offered plenty of historic firsts, though perhaps chief among them all was a competing halftime show.

After the choice of Bad Bunny as headliner drew ire from some conservative commentators, Turning Point USA, a right-wing organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, stepped in with alternative programming. As numbers begin to trickle in, a preliminary look suggests that competition was not close for viewership.

While millions did tune in to Turning Point USA's All-American Halftime Show, Bad Bunny's set is still shaping up to be a much bigger event. Last year, Kendrick Lamar's halftime concert drew 133.5 million views, the most for any Super Bowl halftime show.

Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show brings powerful message, celebrities to world stage

The All-American Halftime Show, on the other hand, which was headlined by Kid Rock, drew in about 6.1 million concurrent viewers on its YouTube channel Sunday night, The New York Times reports. The show streamed online and on a handful of cable news channels

Starting from its launch, the All-American Halftime Show's YouTube stream raked in nearly 20 million views as of Monday morning. Featuring performances from country stars Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett, the show began with a message in support of Kirk, with a spokesperson saying: "This one is for you, Charlie."

The video of Bad Bunny's performance on YouTube, posted by the NFL, has over 16 million views as of Monday morning.

Fresh off a historic win at the Grammys, Bad Bunny headlines the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Feb. 8, 2026. See the photos.

Bad Bunny's performance, a celebrity-studded tribute to the American continent and his home island of Puerto Rico, was expected to bring in scads of viewers. The rapper is fresh off a blockbuster world tour, a residency in Puerto Rico, and a win for album of the year at the Grammys.

Apple Music said that his halftime show press conference also broke records and was "the most watched in Super Bowl history" with more than 63 million views across an array of related content, including the live stream and social clips.

The Super Bowl on its own, is also the streaming event of the season. While official numbers have not been released as of Monday morning, viewership has fluctuated but generally increased year-over-year, according to USA TODAY.

Nielsen estimated 127.7 million viewers watched Super Bowl 59, marking the largest audience for a Super Bowl ever. That continued a general upward trend from the last five years. Here are the Nielsen numbers from the last five Super Bowls:

Super Bowl 59: 127.7 million

Super Bowl 58: 123.7 million

Super Bowl 57: 115.1 million

Super Bowl 56: 112.3 million

Super Bowl 55: 101.6 million

Super Bowl 59 broke the previous record held by Super Bowl 51, which was 126.3 million total viewers, USA TODAY reported.
