Bad Bunny had help from some A-list friends during his Super Bowl 2026 halftime show performance.

After running through a number of his biggest hits, the "NuevaYol" musician ceded the spotlight to Lady Gaga, who performed a salsa reimagining of her smash single "Die With a Smile." Though her usual collaborator on the track, Bruno Mars, did not appear alongside her, she wasn't alone on stage — instead, she was flanked by a massive band of musicians (clad in suits evoking Mars' outfit on the song's single cover art) as dancers clad in white salsaed to the tune.

Gaga then danced with Bad Bunny as he launched into his track "Baile Inolvidable" from his Grammy-winning 2025 album *Debí Tirar Más Fotos*.

A few minutes later, Ricky Martin took the stage to sing a powerful rendition of "Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii," another track from *Debí Tirar Más Fotos*. Martin was not involved in the original recording or composition of the song.

Martin delivered his portion of the performance in a near-perfect recreation of the *Debí Tirar Más Fotos *album cover, which features two white plastic chairs in a lush lawn with a bunch of bananas in the background. The two distinct chairs are on opposite sides of the frame, however, when compared to the album cover.

Gaga previously served as the Super Bowl halftime show headlining performer in 2017, performing hits like "Poker Face," "Born This Way," and "Bad Romance" at NRG Stadium in Houston as part of Super Bowl LI. That performance received six Emmy awards and won the award for Outstanding Lighting Design / Lighting Direction for a Variety Special.

Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga both recently appeared at the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last week. Gaga performed her song "Mayhem" from her album *Abracadabra*, which was nominated for Album of the Year but ultimately lost to *Debí Tirar Más Fotos*. Bad Bunny declined to perform at the ceremony due to exclusivity with the Super Bowl, but host Trevor Noah convinced him to sing a snippet of his song "DtMF" a capella in between award presentations.

In addition to winning the Album of the Year award, *Debí Tirar Más Fotos *also won the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album, and the track "EoO" won the award for Best Global Music Performance. *Mayhem* won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Less than a week before the big game, Martin issued a public statement expressing his support for Bad Bunny following the latter's emotional Grammys night. **

"Benito, brother, seeing you win three Grammy Awards, one of them for album of the year with a production entirely in Spanish, touched me deeply. Not only as an artist, but as a Puerto Rican who has walked stages around the world carrying his language, his accent, and his story," he wrote in Spanish in the Puerto Rican newspaper *El Nuevo Día*. **

"I know what it means to succeed without letting go of where you come from. I know how heavy it is, what it costs, and what is sacrificed when you decide not to change because others ask you to. That's why what you have achieved is not just a historic musical accomplishment, it's a cultural and human victory," he added. "You won without changing the color of your voice. You won without erasing your roots. You won by staying true to Puerto Rico."
