Luke Bryan shared a video on social media where he explained the meaning of his lyrics "BS-free in BFE"

In the video, Bryan said it meant "Blake Shelton-free"

Shelton responded by posting a video on March 2

Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton's friendly feud continues.

Following the release of Bryan's latest single "Word on the Street," the country singer shared a hilarious video on Instagram explaining the lyrics — and he dissed the "Sangria" singer in the process.

In the video filmed outside on a field, Bryan, 49, answered the question, "What does BS Free in BFE mean?"

The "Play It Again" singer responded, "BS-free is Blake Shelton-free. I'm in BFE, that's means you are in bum f--- Egypt — it's a long way out there."

"It's hard to get found in Egypt. So if I'm in BFE and I'm Blake Shelton-free, then I'm truly happy," he concluded, before walking away.

In the caption section, Bryan wrote, "@blakeshelton guess that makes you LB free in BFE?"

Shelton, 49, responded by posting his own video on Instagram that he captioned, "Proud of you and your new song @lukebryan!!!!!!"

In the video, the "God's Country" singer set the scene by saying he was driving and listening to a country station when he heard his initials on a song — and realized it was Bryan's.

"I heard the lyrics and man I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer and so I actually had to look up what BFE means because he's BS-free in BFE... and so I looked up BFE and man I gotta say this is one of the most honest lyrics that I've heard from Luke," he quipped. "I'm damn happy about it because I can honestly say that I've never been butt-f'ing in Egypt. I've never even been to Egypt and so I never butt-f'ed there."

Shelton went in further on the joke and called the lyric "risky and powerful." He also said it was "very honest" because he'd "never been there" and "never done that there."

"Anyway, it's always shocking when you hear your name in a song and come to find out it's Luke and he's a buddy of mine so it makes sense that he knows these things about me," he concluded. "But I just wanted to personally get on here and tell you guys that this is a super honest lyric and so go check out Luke's new song. I'm proud of the guy. I love him."

In the comments section, Bryan wrote, "I'm nothin if not honest."

Bryan released "Word on the Street" on Feb. 19 after teasing the song on social media for weeks. The song marks his first release since his 2024 album Mind of a Country Boy.

Meanwhile, his back-and-forth with Shelton comes a month after the "I Lived It" singer called out a fan at one of his shows for wearing a Bryan t-shirt.

"You come to my show wearing Luke Bryan s---," he said with a smile in a TikTok video. "What's the matter with you?"

He added, "That guy's an idiot."
