Penn State trying to add another 4-star to elite 2028 recruiting class

Penn State has grown accustomed to adding upper-echelon talent at multiple positions, but wide receiver isn’t one of them. The school hasn’t had a true impact receiver since Jahan Dotson, who was drafted four years ago.
Suffice to say, the Nittany Lions haven’t done a great job at landing wide receiver talent, but they’re trying to buck that trend with future recruiting classes. They have one four-star wideout who committed in the Class of 2027 and now they’re adding a new player to their wish list for the following year.
Ryan Snyder of On3 Sports recently reported that Penn State is extending an offer to four-star wide receiver Isaiah Grant from the Class of 2028.
The Iowa native posted on social media that the offer came after a positive discussion with Penn State general manager Derek Hoodjer. It seems like everyone in the program is excited about pursuing Grant from top to bottom.

Grant is already ranked as a top-three receiver in his state and is placed at No. 38 overall in the nation. He’s a tall, lanky pass catcher, standing at 6-2 and weighing in at 185 pounds, and would be a nice change of pace from the wideouts that typically come to Penn State.
Matt Campbell’s connection to Iowa could be a huge factor here if the team ends up landing Grant in the future. There is still a long time until the high-school star makes a decision, but this seems like one to be hopeful about for Nittany Lions fans.
