Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are making one of their biggest royal appearances of the year at Trooping the Colour.
On Saturday, June 13, Kate Middleton and Prince William's three children joined the royals at King Charles' annual birthday parade in London. Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, have all attended the event since they were toddlers.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have participated in Trooping the Colour by traveling in a horse-drawn carriage through London since 2022. However, they've all appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the day's grand finale — the flypast performed by the Royal Air Force — since they were very young.

The children have been known to steal the show at Trooping the Colour, from their adorable waves to the crowds to unscripted moments, like Princess Charlotte snapping into big sister mode to teach her little brother how to stand on the palace balcony as the national anthem played or Prince Louis dancing, yawning and playing with curtain cords as they watched the events unfold.
Trooping the Colour marks Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' second major royal event of the year after joining the family for their annual Easter church outing in April.

The event also comes ahead of a big change for Prince George. The eldest son of William and Kate is currently finishing up his studies at Lambrook School, where Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis also attend, but he'll move on to a new school next year.
Although an official announcement of where he'll study next has not been revealed yet, Prince William's alma mater of Eton College and Kate's school of Marlborough College are considered the frontrunners. While Eton is an all-boys school, Marlborough's co-educational environment would allow both Charlotte and Louis to potentially attend alongside their older brother in the future.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are slowly introducing their children to royal events and duties as they grow up, with a palace insider previously telling PEOPLE about the cautious approach, especially when it comes to Prince George, who is second in line to the throne behind his father.
"It's a massive balancing act," they explained. "William and Kate are doing the right thing, protecting him so he can have as normal a childhood as possible, but he's also dipping into duties as a future monarch. He's getting firsthand experience of what it's like to be a royal and a monarch and firsthand experience of being a normal boy."
