Rosie O'Donnell Spills On The NSFW Trump Song ABC Doesn't Want Her To Sing On 'Kimmel'

Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she planned to sing a not-safe-for-work, “Wizard of Oz”-themed song mocking President Donald Trump while hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” later this month, but ABC executives apparently weren’t on board.

The comedian recently dropped by the “On With Kara Swisher” podcast and previewed the upcoming late-night gig, which initially included plans to break into a reworked version of the Scarecrow’s “If I Only Had A Brain.”

“I wanted to do that on ‘Kimmel,’ but they just told me I can’t, that they couldn’t get permission for the parody because it’s political content,” she said.

O’Donnell added that she considered the decision to be “absurd” and that Kimmel — who hoped she could “keep the hits coming” against the president while he’s away on his annual summer break — didn’t make it.

She then launched into the song, “His approval rate is 30, his diaper’s always dirty, I think the guy’s insane — da, da, da, da, da, da — He ain’t no stable genius, got a teeny, tiny penis, and he doesn’t have a brain.”

O’Donnell said the number has received a “tremendous” response from crowds during the ongoing run of her one-woman off-Broadway show, “Common Knowledge.”

She recently sang the song on TikTok, teasing additional lines that mock the president over the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool renovation, him nodding off in meetings and his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The tune, as LateNighter put it, could be seen as a satire and thus “considerably riskier” in a legal sense for ABC to air.

O’Donnell’s off-Broadway show is set to wrap up on Saturday. She’ll then head to the West Coast to host Kimmel’s program for the week of Aug. 17.

O’Donnell told Swisher that she looks to play off of Kimmel’s approach of taking on the president in a “comedic, honest, truthful way.”

“I plan on doing whatever we can and working with the writers and his team and honoring just how brave and bold he has been,” said O’Donnell of a comedian that’s also gotten under Trump’s skin.
