Ashley Avignone has been one of Taylor Swift’s closest friends for about 17 years, after being introduced by Emma Stone.

She appeared in Swift’s “22” music video in 2013 and has helped cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs in support of Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce.

Beyond her friendship with Swift, Avignone has built a career in fashion, interior design, and content creation.

Avignone was born in Los Angeles and raised in Arizona, where she met Emma Stone, who would eventually introduce her to Swift. She moved back to L.A. to begin her fashion journey, enrolling at FIDM and graduating in 2006. She went to school for fashion design but gravitated toward celebrity styling after completing her studies.

“Two weeks after graduation, I started assisting one of the top celebrity stylists in L.A., and it just stuck with me,” Avignone told Neely & Chloe in 2019. “After years of assisting various stylists, I ventured out on my own.” Now, Avignone specializes in helping brands, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, with creative and strategic projects.

She also moved into interior design, creating and curating spaces, including a hair salon. Additionally, she’s a content creator who has partnered with businesses such as H&M, fragrance brand Future Society, and Prenuvo, a preventative health company that offers whole-body MRI scans to screen for cancer and disease.

She and Swift have been friends for well over a decade.

Avignone and Swift have been friends for about 17 years, since meeting through Stone. They attended the L.A. premiere of Stone’s film Easy A in 2010, and the following year, the trio was photographed at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

In 2019, Avignone celebrated the “Shake It Off” singer’s birthday with an Instagram tribute, writing, “30 years of life for you, 11 years of friendship for us. Thanks for being the bestest friend, listener, dance party-starter, story teller, haircut enthusiast, with the biggest, warmest, and most generous heart. Happy Birthday Tay!! Love you to pieces ❤️.”

In December 2024, the two attended each other’s birthday celebrations, starting with Swift’s surprise party. Avignone shared photos from the bash on Instagram, which featured snaps of Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce. “When she thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included 🥳,” Avignone wrote.

Later that month, Swift celebrated Avignone’s birthday. The stylist captured a sweet moment of them hugging in an Instagram photo captioned, “Happy birthday to me, emphasis on the *happy* 😆.”

She was featured in Swift’s “22” music video and Red album booklet.

With such a deep-rooted friendship, it’s no wonder Avignone made an appearance in Swift’s 2013 music video for “22.” In the clip, Avignone is seen dancing with Swift and other friends at a birthday party. The song was part of the singer’s 2012 album, Red, which included a booklet with a hidden message—“Ashley, Dianna, Claire, Selena”—naming Avignone as one of Swift’s best friends alongside Dianna Agron, Claire Winters, and Selena Gomez.

She’s been spotted cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with Swift.

Avignone has attended multiple Kansas City Chiefs games to help Swift cheer on Kelce. She was photographed in a suite with Swift at the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl games, and also shared personal snapshots from one of their game-day gatherings.

In April 2026, she and Swift had a night out in New York City—and drew attention for their matching white outfits.

On April 8, Swift and Avignone were photographed out together in New York City, both dressed in white ensembles. The engaged singer paired a black sleeveless top with a white slip skirt, while her friend wore a white long-sleeve top with a belted skirt. It marked one of their first public sightings of 2026.

Swift isn’t Avignone’s only famous friend.

Avignone is friends with other celebrities in Swift’s circle, including Gigi Hadid and Antoni Porowski. She even attended Hadid’s birthday celebration in 2022 and again the following year during a trip to Disney World.
