WASHINGTON DC – Alex Pereira is officially a heavyweight after stepping on the scale at Saturday's UFC Freedom 250 weigh-ins, confirming his interim title clash with Ciryl Gane.

Former middleweight and light heavyweight champ Pereira will make a bid at history in Sunday's co-main event at the White House (Paramount+) when he takes on Gane and goes for a belt in a third division, which has never been done before.

Much focus has been on how Pereira will evolve his physique in the UFC's biggest division. Everyone got a glimpse of "Poatan" on the scale when he registered at 251 pounds. His opponent, Gane, was 248.

With official weigh-ins from the host hotel now in the books for both, Pereira and Gane will square up for the final time at ceremonial weigh-ins from the Lincoln Memorial.
